Frustrating problem with WM655

Hi There!

I have a problem whereby whenever I wipe my HTC HD2 clean, when I sync I get another copy of the contacts.

So the first time I synced I got 1 extra copy per contact, wiped, reinstalled resynced, then I got 2 extra copies, then 3, now 4.

The strange thing is, my Groupwise Address book only has one copy!

Re: Frustrating problem with WM655

Is there a way at least to FORCE RESYNC of entire mailbox or something like that ?

Yes, go into the admin interface and click on the monitor icon for the
Mobility connector (the one that sorta looks like a little TV screen).
Then, for the particular user, click on the blue arrow under actions
(immediately to the right of sync state).

Hi There!

Closest thing I could find was under remote device wipe, I couldn't see any monitor icons or sync state? What does reinit do?

Unfortunately the re-sync didn't help, it found 38 calendar items, said processing, then gave a yellow icon, clicked details, said sync complete!
Oh, and I got another set of duplicates, that makes 5 now!

Re: Frustrating problem with WM655

Well notes say reinit doesn't work, but to remove and re-add the users, except that doesn't work either!?? It asks me if I want to remove the user, and then does nothing. Tried restarting the connectors too, no difference.

You're in the wrong spot. I'm talking about the main page when you first
login to the admin interface where it lists the connectors. On that main
page you can access the monitor page for the Mobility connector.

As far as I know it pulls everything down from the GroupWise connector
once again.

What do you mean "then does nothing"? When you delete the user does the
user still remain listed? Also, where are you deleting them, in the
Mobility Connector, GroupWise Connector, or both?

Hi There!

Nothing happens, user remains. Tried deleting them in the various places. Same thing occurs in both locations. Once I got an "an error has occurred"

Am I in the right place and being particularly blind? I I clicked on the 2 people Icon to the right hand side which when I hover over says configure, but below on the engine, the same icon says monitor, and got this error:

Template file '/etc/datasync/configengine/engines/default/pipelines/pipeline1/connectors/groupwise/tpl/monitor.tpl' not found.

When I clicked on the Mobility connector and then Andre I got to :

http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/7646/mobility2.jpg

When I look at the pending vs sync, there are some items in the pending that I have never asked to sync like subfolders of emails I have never tried to sync before ( I don't sync emails).

Am I in the right place now?

Ah, you have an older build, before they changed some of the icons. That
people icon is now a TV icon. Are you running the build from 12 April?

Yes, that's what you get with the GroupWise connector. Known issue.
They've changed the message slightly in the latest builds.

Don't go to a specific user. In the list of users when you click on the
2 people icon for the Mobility icon do you get the resync options I was
talking about? If not, then please upgrade to the newer build.

(Note, upgrade means uninstalling the old version as you can't truly
upgrade from one build to the next.)

The newer build may take care of some of the other issues you've been
having.

If I am not in the official beta, can I get access to the later build if I am not?

Beta 1.2 Build R422 is my current build.

Is there a way to export settings before wiping it out?

Go to the technology preview page. They updated the technology preview
to 1.2 R427.

You could save the connector.xml files I guess, but since the structure
of the XML configuration files themselves could change from one build to
the next really your best off starting completely from scratch. It may
be annoying, but that's what you get with a technology preview. 🙂
