GMS Admin console: Changes made by user not being saved
Hi,
with GMS 2.0.1 and groupwise for auth and provisioning, users can log in to the gms admin console with gw credentials just fine. but if the user tries to save changes in the groupwise settings, changes won't be applied.
what's weird is the fact that changes will be saved under device settings.
i assume this must be a rights issue in the groupwise connector.
what has to be done to get this working again. users need to be able to adjust their settings by themselves.
thx

still waiting for the bug to be confirmed.
concluding: as soon as you login as root and change groupwise settings for specific users, the user cannot change and save any GroupWise settings by himself anymore.
device settings still get saved without any error.

i narrowed the problem down to the following:
1. create a new user
2. added user to gms
3. log in as user to gms admin console
4. changed settings
5. changes saved with no errors
now the problem:
1. log in to gms admin console using root
2. changed settings for the newly created user
3. changes saved with no errors
4. log in as user to gms admin console, again
5. try to save changes - ERROR SAVING CHANGES
concluding: as soon as you login as root and change groupwise settings for specific users, the user cannot change and save any GroupWise settings by himself anymore.
device settings still get saved without any error.

Hi,
You're right, this is a bug. It is in the list of fixes for the next GMS release.
Regards.
