GMS stops after some time

GMS 18.2.0 stops after some time. half an hour running when the SLES 12 SP4 was updated.
I must revert to the last snapshot. Now GMS runs OK.

Re: GMS stops after some time

Hi.

That log seems to show that some service already is dead, aka it's not the cause, but a symptom of something else dieing earlier:

error: [Errno 111] Connection refused

Aka it's trying to connect somewhere where nobody is listening (any more).

CU,

Re: GMS stops after some time

The problem was resolved after consultation with Micro Focus support (request 101271694461).

The problem was with too small disk space on the disk with the postgres data (GMS shutdowns when the disk has more than 80% used space). The data were moved to another disk and a symlink was created.

Re: GMS stops after some time

Hi,

If disk space is the issue, then there should be a file named /var/log/datasync/datasync_status

Cheers,

Re: GMS stops after some time

Hi Laura,

thank you once again for your advice (Service Request 101271694461) about the GMS shutdown. Now everything is OK.

Yes, the messages are in the file you identified.
