GW 18.2.1 on Sles 15 SP2 Textmode

Hi all,

anybody running latest gw on sles 15 sp2 textmode? groupwise is installing fine with the following modules activated:

Basesystem_Module_15_SP2_x86_64'.
'Desktop_Applications_Module_15_SP2_x86_64'.
'Legacy_Module_15_SP2_x86_64'.
'SUSE_Linux_Enterprise_Server_15_SP2_x86_64'.
'Server_Applications_Module_15_SP2_x86_64'.
'Web_and_Scripting_Module_15_SP2_x86_64'.

but when i try to authorize via gwadmin-ipc i get Error sending command99.

any ideas?

What build of GMS 18.2.1 are you using for the install?

I think the OP is talking 'bout GW (as opposed to GMS). Nevertheless the build would for sure matter as SLES 15 SP2 is significantly newer than let's  say 18.2.1 FCS.

i'm talking about groupwise server. the build is 18.2.1-135777. i haven't checked gms yet since i cannot setup the groupwise system.

i tried the installation on sles gui and that works. something is strange in the textmode as gwadmin doesn't create a token:

So,

i did a new install of sles 15 sp2 in textmode. groupwise installation went flawlessly and the token could be authorized using gwadmin-ipc.

i don't know what went wrong during the first install other than this time i checked the modules mentioned in gw installation guide  during the installation.
