GW 2014 R2 HP1

Dear,

after installing the new HP1 Patch yesterday, I can not manage the gw system.

I try to logon and the following message comes up:

Domain server is not trusted. If you trust this server, add the server certificate to the trust store.

I import the ca from GroupWise into the browser and Windows WS - same problem.

everyone know this issue?

Best regards

Martin

Hi Martin,

This may be unrelated, but perhaps worth a mention... after I updated my system I could go through the login part of the GW Admin Console, but then the little wheel would just spin. I had to clear all browser cache, cookies, etc. It then worked without a problem. Perhaps you try the same and see if it makes a difference?

Please let us know how it goes.

Cheers,
Laura Buckley

Did you apply HP2 directly to a GW 2014 system? Or were you already on GW 2014 R2? The reason I ask is that R2 changes the certificates a bit. That said, if I understand correctly, your browser is simply complaining that it doesn't recognize the certificate, correct? If so, I think all you need to do is "accept" the certificate in the browser. You know it's trusted as a self-signed certificate.

Hi,

I apply the HP1 to GW 2014 R2. I can accept the GW CA, but logon failed and the system do not trust me. I have import the CA cert to my browsers but I can not administer the system "domain not trus".

I will now recreate all CA certs and try it again ... after HP1 are installed, I can see that the connections use TLS1.2.

Best Regards

Martin

So, you are saying your "logon" fails? When you say "trust", I thought you were referring to the certificates. But perhaps we just have a language miscommunication here. If you are saying you cannot login because the user/password does not seem correct, are you logging in as the gwadmin user? Or were you given rights as a system admin with your own userid?

We can reset the GW user/password from the command line if that is your issue.

thats not an User/password problem. If I press OK to trust the domain certificate, nothing happens, logon failed.

I'm a bit baffled by this, as I've never seen it. This happens from all browsers/computers?

Yes, from all browsers and computers.

Before I install HP1, I have patched the server and I think it can be that the new openSSL patch (1.x..) can be the problem.

I will install a new server (without the openSSL patch) and move GW to him and see what happens.

Martin

Hi

I still wonder exactly what caused this as I haven't updated any of my servers with patches in order to get GroupWise to "work". Thanks for the feedback, it is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
