GW Instant Messenger & GW6.5sp1

Hi,

Our department will be upgrading to GW6.5sp1 in the near future.

Can someone please answer the following questios for me?

1. Does GW Messenger comes with the Groupwise 6.5 product or is it separate product that includes separate licensing?
2. Where do the 'instant messages' get saved/archived?
3. Does it take up space on the post offices or can it be saved to a local or network drive?
4. What format are they saved in? (txt, msg etc)

Thanks,
Nat.

Re: GW Instant Messenger & GW6.5sp1

1. Bundled with GW, for every gw user you have, you have a im license.
One question that I forgot to ask at B.S. was now that Netmail is under the
GW group, does that mean that you also have licenses for all of the netmail
accounts you have.

2. On the server that runs the im agents

3. Saves it outside of the post offices. The only thing that IM has to do
with gw is the name Groupwise, don't need groupwise at all to run im.

4. Don't recall, we don't archive messages. users can save their own
conversations at .txt files though.
