GW2012 - accidently deleted GWIA

I accidenly posted this in the GW2014 forum - my system is GW2012 !

Ok whilst doing some maintenance work to I accidentally deleted GWIA

So reinstalled GWIA

but when I started GW - I receive about 200 in the Admin/postmaster account - DF28 errors!

Domain.Po Error: DF28

Error that occurred: DF28-Failure using the 'nwcheck.db' database
Type of message: Individually tasked database maintenance
To requeue, save the last attachment to <post office path>\WPCSOUT\OFS\0

Since I did make a full backup using DB copy earlier

I stopped GW and restored

When I start GroupWise server - I received an error 200 1st time

then when I restarted GW I get a single DF28 !

Everything seems Ok - I can login to various accounts, access emails and GW Documents

how can I check everything is OK !?

Re: GW2012 - accidently deleted GWIA

When you say you deleted the Did you delete the object in C1 or the GWIA directories on the server? Normally all you would need to do is re-install and it should be fine? Are you getting any email from outside of you system? Can you sen email from outside in to your system?

The GWIA has nothing to do with logging in to user accounts and sending email has everything to do with sending/receiving SMTP email...

Yes, gwia object in C1 and directory!

I'm not sure how - it was a frustratingly slow RDP connection ...
(subsequently I went on site an picked the server up to work on it home)

Any apart from the 200+ DF28 errors - everything seems fine !

I can telnet to GWIA and send a email
IP etc different + Dynamic IP at home so I just used telnet from a PC

just wanted to check about DF28 errors - just in case

Perhaps this TID, although a bit old, will be of assistance:

You can "Graft" the gateway (GWIA) back into eDirectory.

Let us know how it goes.

Do these repeat when you restart the system?
Are they only showing in the admmin mail box?
Have you run any gwchecks against the system?
It is possible that the system has sorted them out now, but also check
