GWIA Object and define Post Office links

Hi

In older version of GroupWise GWIA (ConsoleOne) you could on the GWIA Object define Post Office link for each Post Office in your system!

In GW 2014R2 I can NOT find Post Office Link on the GWIA object in a secondary domain.

I hope that somone can help me!

Best Regards
Soren

Yes thanks, have been there.

What are you aiming to achieve with this?
PostOffice(POA) connects to its Domain(MTA) and the Domain knows where
and how to get to a GWIA and vice versa for mail flow.

One of the reasons this was configurable was for NAT environments. It
could also be used to trick GWIA to be unable to authenticate to certain
post office (aka it couldn't ever be attacked to retrieve credentials or
as spam relay).

Whatever: It was configurable, and apparently it's gone now. Looks like
an oversight to me.

Re: GWIA Object and define Post Office links

Thanks Massimo

Right we have to use it for NAT environment and it is also correct that we can't authenticate when using POP3/IMAP from the GWIA.

Our configuration:
Primary Domain and 2 Post Office IPA=10.1.2.73 (NAT = 87.116.31.134)
Secondary Domain, WebAccess and GWIA = 87.116.31.4

GWIA log
09:53:13 011C GroupWise login failed: 8503
09:53:15 011C POP3 session ended: 87.116.31.253
09:53:15 011C Accepted POP3 connection with: 87.116.31.253

I have tried to use startup parametre in the GWIA.CFG - but I still get the error message. I also need 2 IPA/IPP like in WebAcc.cfg because we have 2 Post Offices.
/ipa-87.116.31.134 /ipp-1681 - From GWIA log file

In GroupWise WebAccess I do this in the WebAcc.cfg to get it work!
Provider.SOAP.1.ip=87.116.31.134
Provider.SOAP.1.port=7193
Provider.SOAP.2.ip=87.116.31.134
Provider.SOAP.2.port=7191

Thanks again
