GWIA as internal relay

How do you enable GWIA to act as an internal smtp relay? I had this working under 7.0 and when I upgraded to 8 it won't work anymore. I can't remember what I had done. It just times out without any errors. Thanks.

That's unfortunately a result of a configuration chnage Novell
introduced in GW8, that however is unrelated to your previous relay
settings, they ares til there and should work.

Remove the checkbox in the GWIAs network configuration called "bind to
specified IP only". Once you've removed that and saved the change, it
should start working again.

Re: GWIA as internal relay

Ok, this actually works but it now takes up to 2 minutes for the connection to happen. the client is timing out before it authenticates to the post office. This changed going from 7 to 8. any ideas?

*That* is a DNS issue, and would have happened with no other chnages
with every previous version of groupwise too. Your GWIA does not answer
the connection until it has received *ANY* reponse from it's DNS server
to a PTR request for the connecting IP. Your symptom tells me, your DNS
server doesn't answer this request for full 2 minutes, and then probably
times out.
