GWIA is greylisted

Hi

we are greylisted by several Mail-Servers and have no idea why.

we are on GroupWise 8.0.3 HP1.

relaying is disabled.

Any idea how to avoid greylisting?

Thanks

You can't avoid greylisting since that's done at the receiving end. What you need to do is to configure you gwia to resend the deferred mail. Usually the graylisting period will be between 1-120 minutes.

Take a look at "Maximum Number of Hours to Retry a Deferred Message" and "Intervals to Retry a Deferred Message" over at Novell Doc: GroupWise 8 Administration Guide - Configuring SMTP/MIME Services

yes, greylisting is done at the receiving end.

But that does not explain why one's Mail Server is greylisted.

there must be some criteria.

Thanks

No. Receiving servers doing greylisting usually do that universally.
There is a criteria, which just is "all except those manually
whitelisted". 😉
