Re: GroupWise 2014 Client crash with Message File Save As

Sandwell,

what if you log in as another non-admin user?
What if you log in as the user and launch Groupwise as Administrator?

Re: GroupWise 2014 Client crash with Message File Save As

Hi Sandwell,

Further to what Uwe has suggested I would also like to know if this happens on all workstations or all users or if it is specific to a single user or workstation.

Please let us know.

Cheers,
Laura Buckley

Re: GroupWise 2014 Client crash with Message File Save As

If I login as another standard user, the same happens. The GroupWise client crashes.

If I login as a standard user and then right click the grpwise.exe and select Run As Admin I get the same client crash.

Interestingly the message is saved to disk in spite of the client crashing. I've tried doing save as plain text instead of RTF the client still crashes with the file saving.

Re: GroupWise 2014 Client crash with Message File Save As

Just done some more testing. The client crashes if there is no location set in

TOOLS|OPTIONS|ENVIRONMENT|File Location|save, check out:

It doesn't happen for admin users only standard users. Tested on VM and physical workstations

Hi,

What version of the client are you using? I would like to try duplicate your issue if possible.

Re: GroupWise 2014 Client crash with Message File Save As

Hi,

I've created a "Standard User" on my test Windows 7 Pro SP1 machine. GroupWise client is the same release as yours. However, the client was installed manually. Logged in as Standard User, opened GroupWise, opened an e-mail, File Save As, e-mail and attachments save with no crash. I don't have the environment set as you mentioned in an earlier post.

Sorry to proverbially flog the dead horse, but did you try this on a different workstation?

Cheers,
Laura Buckley
