GroupWise 2014 Discussion Thread refresh issue

Hi There,

we just migrated to GroupWise 2014 and most of us like the new layout (just some, like me, don't the name completion priority order but that's another story !). Thanks to the nice job.

However, one of our user discovered that when when click on Discussion Thread tab to see all same subject email related that it does not display the content unless we click on another email in the list and come back to the email originally opened...It is not the end of the world but still annoying!

Is just us or someone else also experience this? I googled but nothing found in the known issues or any other thread...

GroupWise 2014 SP2 build 120664

Thank you for your feedback/help,
OAKFND

I'm on the same build and tried it and noticed the same problem. You
might want to open an SR and report it. Maybe they have a newer build
that fixes it. Or you could wait for R2 and see if that solves it.
Last I heard it was going to be released soon.

Thank you for your feedback! Happy it is not only us. I will talk to my boss and see whether we want to open an SR or not..

Hi OAKFND

Give me some time to double-check this in my lab (Please be patient as morning is 12 hours away for me!). If I duplicate I will report it to the folk at Novell on your behalf and report back any feedback that I get.

Cheers,

Our backend contacts are unsure of the description and are asking for
screen shots. Perhaps we need to clarify the wording for reproduction
steps. I'm not near an GW 2014 client for a bit so I can't reproduce
directly, but see if this is what you are seeing

While in a message that has a Discussion Thread tab, click on that tab,
but then there is nothing showing in the message area below unless you
actively/manually select another message from the list and then the
message opened in the first place.

Are all the messages from the GroupWise system or are some from
outside? Compare those different thread types.

Hi Andy,

Just for information sake.... my discussion thread on which I duplicated this issue only had internal mail.

Re: GroupWise 2014 Discussion Thread refresh issue

Hi Folk,

In GroupWise 2014 R2 I am unable to duplicate this issue. I open an e-mail, click on Discussion Thread and the contents of the e-mail is displayed immediately. I do not have to click around before the mail is displayed. Therefore it would appear that this "issue" has been resolved.

OAKFND - please note that you may not run the GroupWise 2014 R2 client against a 2014 non-upgraded backend. R2 is an entirely new release, not just a support pack.

Cheers,
Laura Buckley

Hi Laura,

Thank you for that feedback. We will upgrade to R2 in end of January so we consider it as solved.

Thank you very and have great celebrations,
