GroupWise and little-or-no-cost centralized archiving

Hi folks,

I wanted to see what other organizations are doing with GroupWise and no-or-little-cost centralized archiving solutions.

What are you folks using to retain GroupWise email/objects for a duration of time (10 years or so) that is searchable and costs little or nothing? Any special ways of using GroupWise to achieve this, like special rules on forwarding all email to an account on a separate PO?

Looking forward to your responses!

Thanks!

I don't think such a beast exists. You're going to have to spend at
least some cash to do this right.

This, I know...we won't get anywhere near what we "want." However, we just want something passively store emails, near-line and basic search.

We are an educational institute, so maybe "relaying" our PO traffic over to google for use by their email retention system, MAY work...still need to test this out (google email/records management is practically free for us).

Anything that's within GW itself is going to be klunky and fairly
difficult to force. Anyone can disable a rule. The only way to avoid
that is... by again using third party software.

Here, contact these guys. They offer a hosted archiving solution that
may be a viable option if you don't have a lot of money for this.
