Groups - System and Personal

We have been having problems with groups updating:

System Group aka Distribution List - Administrator cannot administer group, it is greyed out.

Personal Group - Shares OK, Add members OK, When deleting member it does not update the recipient address book or group.

Any ideas?

Re: Groups - System and Personal

Hi,

Sorry for the slow response.

With regards to your Distribution List / System Group - is it linked to an LDAP group, say a group defined in eDirectory?

With regards to Personal Groups - are all users affected on the same Post Office or is the group shared across Post Offices?

Please do let us know.

Cheers,
Laura Buckley

Hi Laura,

It is when crossing post offices.

Re: Groups - System and Personal

Hi,

If it's when crossing Post Offices it could very well be corrupt Prime User Databases.

Let me dig a little bit and come back to you with a possible fix for this situation.

Re: Groups - System and Personal

I just created a new shared address book with two test accounts in separate PO's. I think this is a 2014 bug.

I create the Shared Addessbook with users and groups ok.

The sharee receives the addressbook users and groups ok.

I can add users and the sharee receives the added users ok.

When I delete a user from the group it never deletes from the sharee group.

Then we start needing to know exact versions of each of the pieces involved, including the OS(es) involved.
Can anyone reproduce this? I don't have a multi PO GW2014 available to me yet.
