Groupwise WEB on Windows server?

Does the new GroupWise WEB run on a Windows server or only on Linux?
I can't find any Windows references in the setup guide.
If not, is a Windows version planned, when Webaccess discontinues next year?

Thanks

Re: Groupwise WEB on Windows server?

Jens,

It will run inside docker on all platforms that docker supports.  There will be info on Windows in the doc soon.  Right now, the free instance of docker is only supported, by them, running on Windows 10.  If you want to run a docker instance on a Windows server you will need to purchase docker enterprise.  However, both the free instance and the paid instance will support Groupwise Web

Re: Groupwise WEB on Windows server?

Hi Pam,

Thanks for the answer. I'll wait for the Windows documentation then. And hope Micro Focus will provide a free version of Docker, so we don't have to buy extra software in order to use GroupWise.

Re: Groupwise WEB on Windows server?

Jens,

There isn't a lot too it because up to the point of doing the Docker Run command, it's pretty much the same for all platforms.  We do not include either the free version or the paid version of docker with GW 18.2.  It will be up to you to download the version you need.

The doc is now live at https://www.novell.com/documentation/groupwise18/gw18_guide_install/data/install_docker.html.  It includes a link to the Install Docker for Windows in the docker community.
