Groupwise image view issue

Hi All,
I have a grpwise 14.2.1 client running.
When an email with an image is selected, the jpg file is opened by the groupwise viewer and is visible.
If the image is clicked on windows 10 is set to open the photo app. The image can't be opened by the photo app - error presented is: It appears that you don't have permission to view this file. Check the permissions and try again.
Image image opens properly in ms paint if its selected via open with. If the image is saved to the desktop it opens fine with the photo app.
This happens with multiple emails.
The photo app is set to the default image viewer for jpg, jpeg, etc.

Windows 10 professional and groupwise client 14.2.1 is being used.

Do you have UAC enabled on Windows 10? I found that when I deployed Win10 that I finally had to bite the bullet and leave UAC enabled so that the default apps like Photo, Edge, etc... would work otherwise I kept getting a similar sounding message. If you have AD, just make a GPO to enable UAC and add a WMI filter to restrict it to just Win 10 systems so it doesn't affect any older systems that you might have deployed that are currently working just fine.

Had same issue & found the solution on a Lotus Notes support forum of all places!
Open Photos app > settings > sources & add local users "Documents\Groupwise" folder (ie where the temp attachment copy is from the client environment settings). Close app.
App will now open attachment without error.
