Gw / GMS mail from windows phone - encoding characters

Hi
We have a groupwise 2012.0.3 server with GMS 2.0.
When we send an email from a windows phone (8 or 8.1), this message is well in groupwise client, but not in outlook client.
The special french characters (é, ù, à, etc...) are tranformed to chinese characters in outlook 2010 client, or "?" when we use thunderbird (last version).

So, I think there is a mime problem in gms, but how can I resolve it? (maybe it's not that!?)

Can you help me?

Hi,

Welcome to the forums 🙂

I think, but stand to be corrected, that this has been reported before and was fixed in a newer version of the GMS code. The first thing that I would suggest is updating your GMS system to the latest code.

Let us know how it goes.

Sorry... I forgot the link: https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=Vd-2H3ppqrI~

You will need to be logged into the Novell site in order to access it. Also note that subsequent to this release there have also been some security patches released that I strongly recommend you apply after your upgrade to 2.0.1

2.0.1 is currently the latest version of GMS which has been
released but it's not the last - version 2.1 is currently in
public beta phase. See http://bit.ly/1zqiFUf for more
information.

Hi,

Further to what Simon has said, please note that beta software is not supported in a production environment.

Hi,

Perhaps take a look at this TID: http://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7015238

I would suggest that you contact Novell Technical Support first to see if they agree that this is the right course of action.

Hi,

On the top of the Novell page click on the link "Services and Support", then find the link "Open a Service Request" (under the "let us help" section on the left-hand side) and follow that.
