How do I disabe this mini threaded view in messages.

I don't even know what this is called.
It's when a email has a blue/green circles with numbers in them to indicate now many messages are in the thread.
When you click into a message you see the 1st emails rather than the last. Then you scroll down to troublesomely find the newest message.

This is a separate thing to View>Display settings>discussion threads.

Go to: Tools | Options | Environment | General | untick Conversation Threading (bottom right-hand corner)

This is called Conversation Theading. You can disable it by going to
Tools -> Options -> Environment -> Uncheck the box that says Enable
Conversation Threading
