ICal feed vs. ICal import question

Hello all,

our guys do so really nice development using ICal. They asked me to ask you the following question (Yes they already tried to find this on the Web, Novell developer net and in the forum).

"How do I get the ICal-field DESCRIPTION in subscribed calenders?"

The DESCRIPTION shows only in SUMMARY.

If one imports the same calender, it works. Why?

Demo:

GroupWise 8 of course 🙂

You already answered your own question......

The field is there, so all that is left is to fire the developers, and
hire somebody that can digest a text file, or am I missing something
here ?

Re: ICal feed vs. ICal import question

The field is there, yes but it does not show up in a subscibed ical feed. But is does show the description if the same stuff is imported.

Sorry, I misunderstood your Q..... 🙂

I Thought it was about you app, but now I see it's about your app
sending an iCal to the GW Client, and.....

If this is WAD or not I don't know, but your are correct, and
currently, it can't be done 😞

Please go here:

In the mean time, I'll also ping novell, but challenge them with this
as a bug
