Inbox not being synced on iPhone
Hello,
I have a problem here with a client of mine. I have upgraded Novell Data Sync (NDS) to version 1.2.5 build 299. I have updated to this version because the groupwise server crashed an i have installed version 8.0.3 HP3 on the server a thought to update NDS to the latest version. I'm only having a problem with one user who uses an iPhone. It doesn't sync the inbox and other mail folders any more only Junk mail and Trash.
The things i have done :
- Removed the account on the phone and configured it back.
- Reinitialized the user.
- Did a vacuum and reindex on the db of the server.
Still no luck.
What could be the problem of this issue?
John

Any chance the user has dragged the inbox in the GW client to be
underneath another folder? Maybe the same thing for the cabinet as
well?

The order doesn't matter, but the inbox and cabinet both should be at
the top level--they shouldn't be dragged as subfolders underneath
anything.

We've had this problem a few times too. Is it possible to pin the Inbox to the main folder?

Hi Joost,
Unfortunately there is no way, that I know of at least, to "pin" the Inbox and other system folders.
There is a GWCheck misc option of RESETFOLDERS which is meant to fix this on the backend for users.
Cheers,

And it's not just DataSync that dislikes this - IMAP, etc. will also fail if the
inbox is a subfolder to anything else.
