LDAP Error 2?

I just recently updated to GroupWise 8 and have had an issue with the LDAP deployment ever since. I have two different services that were depending on the GroupWise servers LDAP to run the authentication. Both services, one being GroupWise itself, now display a LDAP Error 2 when I try to log in. Should I just try to redeploy NetWare 6.5 SP8 to fix this issue or do I have other options?

Thanks

Rich,

is that eDirectory's LDAP? If so, please check the output of dstrace while the error occurs.

I get a version not support error. Since it was working with SP8 deployed I just reinstalled SP8 and now I can get into my help desk website without problems. but I still get LDAP error 2. I tried to get a dstrace shot of what was going on and am having problems seeing what is going on. Any tips on how to get this done with the dstrace? Do I need to have it dump to a trace file? Currently the GroupWise server is pointing to a NetWare 6.5 SP7 LDAP server without issue so my end users are authenticating. But I would like to move this back to my GroupWise server.

Thanks for the help.

Go to ConsoleOne | LDAP server object of the server | screen options
tab | check everything but packet dump

Then go to iMonitor of that LDAP server | Select dstrace | hit clear
all and check LDAP and then trace on and update

Go to the live screen (or whatever its called) and do another
authentication attempt and check what pops up in the screen after
clicking update.

You can post the outcome here if you'd like.

Re: LDAP Error 2?

How do I disable the GWIA LDAP? Is this done in ConOne or is this a Autoexec option? NLDAP is loading long before any of the GroupWise options are told to load so I am assuming the GWIA LDAP is messing with the normal NLDAP?

Thanks

Rich
