MTA responds REALLY slow to http.

After upgrading to 2014 it seems that the MTA http port is REALLY slow to respond to requests, it takes about 2 minutes for a page to show up when accessing it with a browser.
So slow in fact that the monitor service will spawn a 2nd MTA occasionally while the original one is still up and running. The Admin page will also take a very long time to either show a red or green dot for the MTA.

The MTA itself is doing what its supposed to just fine, there are no delays in emails.

Not sure what is going on.

Re: MTA responds REALLY slow to http.

This problem seems to have been resolved by updated agents that I received for an unrelated SR.

That's good - for anyone watching, this will also be fixed in SP1. There are
times when the admin service is actually causing a type of denial of service
event at the MTA. Annoying, but a known problem that can be fixed 🙂
