Moving GMS to a new VM

Running GroupWise Mobility Service 2014 R2 SP2 on a hyper-v machine on SLES 11.
Need to recreate the VM.
Would like to create a new SLES 12 VM. Can I copy the below directories from old VM to new VM, then run the install routine on new VM from iso and retain all settings? Seems too easy, but will it work? If not, how can settings be saved?

/opt/novell/datasync
/etc/init.d/rcgms
/etc/datasync
/var/lib/datasync
/var/log/datasync
/var/run/datasync
/var/lib/pgsql

A good thing from time to time. GMS does appear to benefit from
periodic (every few years) from a fresh start.
And in this case since you are changing OS versions, there is enough of
an impact on config, that it might be easier to start from scratch.
There are just a few screens of config to sync, and you can have both
up at the same time doing that. Of course the new box will have a
temporary IP before it switches in to take over from the old. If you
haven't been using groups for provisioning, this is a good time to so
that. If you've bought a cert so that the devices don't complain when
you set them up, then just move it over to the new box.
Once the users have synced, then you can just switch the new box in
with the old IP and if you have a good cert that doesn't trigger
errors, and/or the old one, you should be good to go.
