Hi Gotthard,
As far as I am aware you need to upgrade to GroupWise 2014 R2, which is a whole new release of the product vs SP2.
Cheers,

Re: New features in SP2 Carddav and caldav
Hi, Laura,
it´s a small difference between SP2 and R2. I wondered
@download.novell.com about the entry GroupWise R2 Evaluation.
I will now leech the stuff and read the docs. XMas surprise for my mac
users...
Thx for the answer and have a nice Chrismas!

Further to what Laura already mentioned, the Calsvr is indeed a new feature in GroupWise 2014 R2.
At this moment it's a service that can only be installed on a SLES/Linux server. The setup is however a quite simple (just install the package via the GroupWise installer and run the configure option).
It will require an extra port as it runs as a separate service (does not run as tomcat applet), but you can easily let it run on the WebAccess server, or GroupWise server if you have a single server system.
Also note the service will, next to talking to the POA(s), want to talk directly to the gwadminservice.
Cheers,
Willem

Re: New features in SP2 Carddav and caldav
By the way, you've gotten a lot of information in this thread about the Calendar Server in GW 2014 R2. However, you ask about connecting the native Mac "mail" app. The Calendar Server does not deliver mail. For mail you will need to use IMAP.

Re: New features in SP2 Carddav and caldav
We've gotten the new Calendar server installed and configured. It appears pretty straight forward. Ours hasn't worked the way it should have. It may be a dns issue, our srv records in particular. I read a posting that said getting the srv right was critical.

Re: New features in SP2 Carddav and caldav
Hi,
How have you progressed with this? Is the CalSvr working properly now?
FWIW, I haven't seen any issues with the service in regard to the DNS configuration. Do you have some more info on what to watch for regarding DNS records?
Cheers,
Willem

some questions remaining:
So I have to run the calendar server on port 8443 for example, if
webaccess already installed on the server using port 443?
Where I have to create the read-only admin described in ch. 19.3.3? In
GroupWise admin console? How can I reduce the rights of this user to
read-only?
My POA´s don´t use secure connections, because the whole system runs in
VPN and I hate the trouble with certificates. Is using TLS mandantory?
Documentation is poor, really. 10 sites in install doc and no occurence
in groupwise admin guide.

So I understand. You are unable to auth using imap from mail.app on the mac? Did you
setup up for ssl? The mac can be a pain if not using ssl.

And so is it. We don´t use ssl at this time. It´s also a pain to refresh
certificates on the server in many different places and because our
groupwise system runs in vpn completely, we dumped the ssl stuff.
BTW: the ssl button was unchecked before we tested the connection.
