Nokia E52 Mail for Exchange problem

Hi,

I use a Nokia E52 with Mail for Exchange.
I am able to set up an account.
Sending emails from the phone works, but from GroupWise to phone is not possible.

The inbox/calendar etc stays empty.

I have seen the problem reported here before, but not in a seperate thread.

Kind regards, Arjan

Can you please follow the steps listed below

1. Launch WebAdmin https://IPAddress:8120
2. Click the Mobility Monitoring information page
3. Click the user name
4. Click on the user and see if you see any number increase in the Pending
items when you receive a new email.

Regards
MJ

Hello Mj,

I've reported this problem on the forum on 23-jul-2010 concerning a Nokia E72.

When I turned debugging on I saw that the device read the folder list, but did not read the calender items, contacts and e-mail.

It used to work correctly with previous versions of the datasync server. Which is why the user is now connection to an older version of the datasync server.

Somehow the datasync server does not present the data correctly to the device.

Please let me know if you require any further information.

Kinds regards, Don

Re: Nokia E52 Mail for Exchange problem

Is there any firewall between the servers, we used to see something like this when we have some ports closed.
7191, 4500 must be opened between Datasync and GW in both directions.

Re: Nokia E52 Mail for Exchange problem

WE have the same issue with our E71 and E72 Nokia phones.
All ports open between the Datasync and GW....

Re: Antw: Re: Nokia E52 Mail for Exchange problem

Having similar problems. Sync to cell phone only works when I "re-initialize user" inside mobility. Very difficult to determine where the problem is. 1) activesync on cell phone 2) mobility connector 3) groupwise connector (soap)

Any advice is most welcome 🙂

Now _that_ is a clear sign you're configuring syncml instead of ActiveSync.

--> you lost 😉
