Outlook IOS App

Has anyone tried using the MS Outlook app on and Ipad (ios 9.3.1)? It has an exchange option to setup like the native IOS app does. Not sure if this is active sync though. We run gms2.1 build 230.

Thanks!

I tried it for a while and it worked great, removed it after news about security concerns came out..

Re: Outlook IOS App

Thanks Thomas! We are not running gms2014 yet so that option does not exist in gms2.1. Don't see the documentation for gms2.1.

Re: Outlook IOS App

You have to edit the connectors.xlm file to enable outlook support on 2.1. Plus:
Self-Signed Certificates: If your server is using self-signed certificates (not signed by a trusted
CA), users might experience frequent warning messages. If you have enabled your GroupWise
Mobility server to support the Microsoft Outlook app (see Section 2.1, “Enabling Microsoft
Outlook Support in GroupWise Mobility Service,” on page 1), the server must be configured to
use a trusted certificate. If you use the self-signed certificate that GroupWise Mobility Service
generates, the Outlook app will not be able to connect.
