Question about changing "from" name

In prior versions of GroupWise, a sender could type in a different name in the "from" field, and the recipient would see that name first, followed by the actual account used (which appeared in parentheses). GW8 appears to work the same way. Does anyone know if it's planned in the future to allow you to restrict this, or prevent "user A" from putting in the name of "user B" on outgoing messages?

I doubt it. There's no point. SMTP mail [yes I know you mean internal]
is so easily forged that it wouldn't accomplish a thing. Either the
receiving user notices or they dont.
