Question about the GroupWise 8 client auto-upgrade

I can't seem to locate any information on confuguring the auto-upodate for the GroupWise 8 client. The documentation provided by Novell was not much help. I want one PO to not force an upgrade, and I want another one to do a silent install. I remember there used to be a config file I could edit, but I don't have the specifics.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Question about the GroupWise 8 client auto-upgrade

AutoUpdate is based on the SDD.

As such, you need to create a new SDD, and assign that to the PO where
you don't want the update to happen.

The files needed for that SDD are:

<Root to SDD>\client with all the files in there, but no sub directories

Then edit the file named software.inf, and put a semicolon in front of
the entry named BuildNumber

After that is done, and you made sure....looking at the POA log....that
the admin change for a new SDD made it to the PO, you'll need to
restart that POA
