Scanning And DMS

Hello,

is there a software available to move scanned documents directly to Groupwise-DMS ?
Novell delivered with Groupwise 5.x "Groupwise-Imaging" which used the Software "Wang-Imaging" installed with Windows NT 4.0. This Software seems to be not available any more for Windows XP.

Re: Scanning And DMS

Novell must have sold it. I found it here as 3rd party software. It
mentions GW 6 & 6.5 but I haven't seen GW 7 mentioned. It's worth a phone
call or an email to sales to find out though.

This is most definitely a feature worth having.

Antw: Re: Scanning And DMS

Hi Daniel,

i know this URL, but you only reach the product "Viewise" with it. This is a complete DMS-System and not only a scanning program with a connection to Grouwise-DMS.

Anyway
thanks for your help

There's also this thread - 'GroupWise integration with Ecopy' which may
give you pointers. www.ecopy.com

Re: Antw: Re: Scanning And DMS

Joachim, eCopy Desktop is a gem of a program and a great scanning solution,
we love it, but... I still have not been successful in getting it to
integrate with GW DMS in a satisfactory fashion--VERY close, but not
completely. I do have a promise from eCopy to make it work in the next
release, however. It works wonderfully for email integration with GW, the
OCR is very good and it is very efficient creating PDF's from absolutely any
other format. Our secretaries find it one of the most useful programs they
have now.
