Sent Items Folder

We recently had an Issue with some of our clients where the Sent Items folder was showing properly but our Barracuda Archive could not archive because the Sent Items folder was actually named Sent Items.dup1
I ran the GWCheck Misc option FOLDERRESET
This resolved that issue, but now there is a NoSelect flag set on the Sent Items folder.
This NoSelect Flag is keeping the Barracuda from setting the retention flag.
I am being told by Barracuda to create a temp folder and move all the Sent Items folder contents to it, then delete the Sent Items folder, then rename the Temp folder to Sent Items.
Since the Sent Items Folder is a System older it cannot be renamed ;(

A snip from an IMAP log was this:
'error' => '8 NO STATUS Mailbox not selectable: Sent Items',
'user' => 'TESTUSER',
'folder' => 'Sent Items'

I always thought the correct option was:
DELDUPFOLDERS

to delete duplicate folders

But maybe not

Re: Sent Items Folder

I know the error indicates a Duplicate folder, but the Client was not showing any folders that was duplicated or any folders with a name ending in .dup1
BUT....
When i Telnet into the Post office as the Client and run this command:
a list "" "*"
it shows the folder structure and it did show a the sent items folder named as Sent Items.dup1
So as per suggestions from Google hits I ran the DelDupFolders option with no improvement.
I tried the resfldr option, again no improvement.
I tried the RESETFOLDERS option, again no improvement.
I then used the FOLDERRESET option and the Sent Items folder looks correct when I do the a list "" "*" command.

Re: Sent Items Folder

Hi

FOLDERRESET is a newer GWCheck Misc option than RESETFOLDERS - semantics I know, but to GroupWise it does make a difference 🙂

Re: Sent Items Folder

So... Any ideas on why the NoSelect Flag is keeping the Barracuda from setting the retention flag.
I'm getting worried...
