Shutting Off New Version

Is there a way to shut off the GW Messenger screen announcing a new version
is available? We have several PC's that cannot run GW Messenger 2.0 and
thus can never update their client.

Thanks!
Tim

Re: Shutting Off New Version

Tim,

Per chance will you do an enhancement request along with me on this? I would
like Novell's messenger upgrade detection behavior to function similar to MSN
Messenger...

For example, MSN Messegner is smart enough to know that 7.0 is the last version
that can run on Windows 98, while 7.5 can be installed on Windows XP. Therefore
our Windows 98 machines do not get prompted to download and install MSN
Messenger 7.5, no admin intervention needed.

Re: Shutting Off New Version

Found the answer in TID10098064. I have a similar problem with newer versions of GroupWise not wanting to run on older machines and had to disable the update announcement there as well.
