Sizing GroupWise 2012 WebAccess

Hi,

Perhaps it has already been answered in this forum, but I've been unable to find it. I found references in GroupWise 7 and 8, with the old GWINTER, but not with the new WebAccess.

Is there any recommendation about the number of active/concurrent users per WebAccess application in GroupWise 2012?

Regards
Jose Luis

Hi Jose,

Sorry about the delayed response.

I'm not aware of any such recommendation, but considering that the "new" WebAccess is purely Tomcat/Apache based with SOAP connections to the Post Offices, it is most likely a limit on what load your Tomcat/Apache environment can handle.

Thanks for your answer Laura.
I agree with you, but the problem here is that we don't know how heavy the WebAccess application is. So the only solution will be to be ready to add more servers when needed.

Hi Jose,

How big is your environment: number of WebAccess users, number of Post Offices?

Re: Sizing GroupWise 2012 WebAccess

Hi Jose,

I'm making a few inquiries with some folk I know at Novell. There may be a bug if you go over 1000+ concurrent users. I should know more either later today or tomorrow morning.

Cheers,
Laura Buckley
