Skype for Business Integration?

Hello all,

we are using the Groupwise Client 2012(Build 12.0.3) and Skype for Business, since a lot of our Customers switched to Skype for Business and set that as an requirement for communication.

Is there a possible integration for Skype for Business (LYNC) and GW 2012? I can't find anything in the web...

If not, does somebody have experience with working with Skype for Business and GW 2012? Is there maybe a workaround?

I would appreciate any kind of help or tips...

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Re: Skype for Business Integration?

Hi Mike,

Skype for Business [Lync] integration has been requested in the Micro Focus Ideas forums.

Currently no such integration exists, not even for GroupWise 2014.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I'll see if I can find the request, post the link for you, and then you can go vote for it 😉

Cheers,
Laura Buckley

To add to Simon and Laura, please go to the Ideas and portal and vote
on this enhancement request and add any comments you'd like. In
addition, it sounds like you're a partner, so in that case please have
your customers who would like this functionality also vote on this
enhancement within the Ideas portal.

Re: Skype for Business Integration?

Dear all,

thanks for the fast reply! I am sorry to hear that there is no integration yet... and not even planed... Skype for Business is going to grow more and more, a lot of our customers are already migrating to that. Novell is going to miss out!
I will vote for this request and hopefully Novell will take more attention to this opportunity.

@Jmarton: We are no partner, we are actually a customer from Novell. We have a lot of Novell products running (GW, Vibe, Zenworks).

Thanks.
