Sort by thread activity

I've been using Groupwise for a long time and have never been able to figure this out, so I guess I should finally ask:
Is there a way to sort by thread activity? I would prefer to view emil by discussion threads, but sorting them be "Delivered" sorts them by when the root of the thread was delivered, not the most recent message in the thread.
Am I missing something?

Yes there is.
Right click on MailBox (either on left column or on the tab along the
top), Properties, Display, View By :Threads

This just changes the view to threads. I know how to do that, but it still sorts them by when the first message in the thread was delivered, not the most recent.
If I receive a reply today to a thread that was started a week ago, I need to scroll through my inbox to get to a week old message, and then follow the thread. I should be able to make new activity in a thread float to the top, no?

Just checked here on 2014.2.2. When viewing by thread, you can change
the sort order on date, but it does not affect the emails within the
thread. So the position of the entire thread is sorted based on the
date of the first email in the thread. Unless Andy knows otherwise,
I'm betting this is working as designed and would need an enhancement
request to change. I don't use the threads display mode, but I could
see where the sorting you want would be very helpful.

Ahhh, I see what you want now. For it to sort like the forums do by
default with the theads sorted by the most recent post (who has the last
word ;).
That would make an excellent idea for the Ideas portal
https://ideas.microfocus.com/MFI/mf-gw
include the forum setup as an example
where instead of sorting by Date (unspecified but done by first post of
thread)
having the option of sorting by Date (by most recent post of thread)

and then of course post the link to the idea so that those who have been
following this and like the idea can also vote for it.
