Spell check issues when replying to HTML emails
Morning,
GW2014, client build 119268...
When you reply to an external email (note, internal emails have no issues)
that is HTML formatted, with images somewhere in the mail (eg company logo
in signature - practically every email ever sent!), and have the spell
checker setup to check on send, the spell checker seems to find lots of
spelling mistakes that don't exist.
After looking at this myself, I realise it's checking HTML code that doesn't
appear anywhere in the mail itself, because some words it wants to check are
the names of fonts (eg Arial, Tahoma etc)
So somehow, it's checking the spelling of the HTML coded email, not the
email itself.
It's happening on a larger number of machines than we 1st thtough, but not
all of them. Massive annoyance, can anybody help?
Thanks, Alan

Hi Alan,
Spell Check issues are documented as bugs in the client. These are resolved with newer versions of the client.

Hi Alan,
Please confirm exactly what your GroupWise back end is running.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Alan,
As far as I am aware you can run the R2 HP1 client against your backend - but stand to be corrected on this.
What I suggest you do is to install the latest client on a single machine and test, also ensure that your spell check issues are resolved.
Please let us know how it goes.

Hi Alan,
I do believe that I am mistaken. I don't think that you can run the R2 client against your non-R2 backend. The database versions won't match.
Sorry, that does not leave you with a quick fix I'm afraid. You will have to upgrade your backend and then roll out the new client.
