Sprint Hero - Android 2.1

I updated my phone to Android 2.1.
Mail and contacts are syncing, calendar is not.
There is an error on my phone: "Unauthorized user, Please verify user: 8:09am"

Re: Sprint Hero - Android 2.1

Well I know that the Nexus One that uses the Android 2.1 operating system doesn't have a native calendar app to sync with exchange accounts. To my knowledge I think only the motorola droid of the Android Phones has a native calendar app which motorola developed specifically for that phone. Anyway, because they don't have a native calendar app it may seem like it doesn't sync, but in reality it could be that it just can't sync the calendar due to a device limitation. You might look into that. I'm currently trying to update the HTC Hero that we have to Android 2.1 to see if I can see what you're seeing. If you find out that it is just a device limitation you might try RoadSync which you can download from the Android Market. There's a 14 days free trial. Other than that it's 9.95 for the full version. There's also Touchdown that's an app that syncs exchange accounts, however I prefer RoadSync. Let me know what you find out.

The HTC Incredible also includes a native calendar app which syncs.

Re: Sprint Hero - Android 2.1

the hero does have a gmail calendar. When I setup the "Exchange" account one of the options was to sync calendar. When I look at settings in the claendar app there is an "Exchange" calendar.

With the older ROM on my phone calendar events synced, not very well but they did sync.

Re: Sprint Hero - Android 2.1

I have a Motorola Milestone (aka Droid in US) with Android 2.1 and it seams that there are some issues with the calendar (MJ is investigating)... it syncs, but the entries don't make it to the calendar unless they have a timezone set (only visible in the Mobility DB), which in my case is only the case if the appointment is created with the Linux client...

Re: Sprint Hero - Android 2.1

I would also recommend trying out touchdown by nitrodesk.com, it might be
$20 for the full product, but it has a 30 day demo to really try out all the
features. Even the pure exchange users on the motorola droid swear by it
compared to the built in EAS...
