View Attachment Window no longer default?

User asked me today what is going on with appointment requests coming in
from outside, non-groupwise, systems - they no longer go to her calendar.

Well, recently we upgraded to gw 2014 r2 and it seems that the default
view when you open a message is to NOT show the attachment window - so
no one sees the .ics calendar item.

Is that correct? If so, how can the default be changed so that the
attachments are shown?

Mary,

In the GW Admin Console, go to your GWIA, SMTP/MIME tab, settings and
check to make sure that Enable iCal service is checked. I think
sometimes that gets unchecked during the upgrade process. And if so,
appointments won't be received correctly. Not sure if you have to
restart GWIA after that or if it takes immediate affect.

Hi,

For what it's worth... I observed the same thing with my upgrade - the iCal service became unticked on my GWIA. I have reported this to the kind folk at Novell.

Hi,

Just some feedback from the kind folk at Novell - they do have an open bug on this issue and are working on resolving it.

A TID was published in this regard: https://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7017134
