Webaccess 2012 SP1 - Slowwww and will not talk to multi-PO's

WebAccess 2012 SP1 on WIN2K8R2-SP1w/Lots of juice; Have WebAccess configured to talk to several PO's via the webacc.cfg file, but it will only allow login
to mail accounts that are on the PO listed as "Provider.SOAP.1.ip=x.x.x.x". Accounts on other PO's are not accessible, even though those PO's are
specifically listed as "Provider.SOAP.2.ip=x.x.x.x", etc. -

The webaccess server does communicate with the PO's via NAT, but I have the internal/external addresses listed in the PO Agent
for redirection.

The whole things is just really slow too - 8-10 seconds after putting in user credentials for the login to complete....

Suggestions ?

Thanks -

I should mention that I have checked all the usual things too, SOAP enabled, ports are accessible, firewall rules all good, etc - etc...a real "Stumper" !

I don't think these do anything for PO redirection. You can't just
specify multiple POs as Providers, and hope WA will find them that way.
It will still redirect, and that seems to go awfully wrong in your case.

Please elaborate. What type of NAT, where, and in which direction? It's
obviously not working right.

Definitely a redirection table issue. WA 2012 uses SOAP which means it
logs in first to the PRovider.SOAP.xxx, and then if the user is on
another PO gets a redirection to the final IP. This NAT thing is clearly
causing the issue.

Set to Verbose/Diagnostic and you might see the issue more clearly.

Re: Webaccess 2012 SP1 - Slowwww and will not talk to multi-

I don't think it is the NAT causing the problems at all, I think it is the POA not giving back the correct IP address/DNS information about my PO's; Example: I have both the "Internal"
and "External" values completed in C1 for the POA object - these values are correctly returned when a Windows or MAC GW client talks to the POA. I am guessing the SOAP client is not
getting the info for other PO's external IP address/DNS information from the inital contact POA - I will confirm with a packet trace later today -

Re: Webaccess 2012 SP1 - Slowwww and will not talk to multi-

I disabled SOAP over SSL so I could grab a packet trace of the conversation between the WebAccess SOAP application and the system configured in the .cfg
file as "Provider.SOAP.1.ip=x.x.x.x". I should note that all my PO's are all configured with both the "Internal" and "External" IP address/DNS info for clients
to talk to PO's regardless of which side of the firewall they are on (Works very well with NAT) - Login as a client of the PO the Web Access app is pointed at
as "Provider.SOAP.1.ip=x.x.x.x", no problem, works great (Just slow). Login as a client that needs to be redirected to another PO, and the PO gives the WebAccess
app the correct data for the new PO to talk to (You can see it clearly in the packet capture) but the web access app just hangs there and takes no action on
the redirection info. As a litmus, I setup a WA behind the firewall, and it works across multiple PO's, no problem. I have a few additional things to try before
opening a ticket - any other suggestions ?

Possibly asking the obvious, but *where* exactly did you take the lan
trace? If not right on the WA server, you may simply not see what WA is
doing (vs. "it's doing nothing".)

Thank you for asking, Sniffer running directly on the WA server, of course :>)

It turns out that this is an actual bug in the code; New code to be released shortly....
