Webaccess - change expired password (LDAP - AD)

Hi,

When logging in to WebAccess with a user whos password has expired, the system tells me the password has expired but doesn't give me any option to change it.

Is this functionality available?

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

I would first like you to confirm something for me... if a user is logged into WebAccess can they go to Options and change their password from there?

Cheers,

Hi Laura,

No, it tells me the password change failed:
[D06B] LDAP password change failed. Contact your system administrator.

Thanks

Re: Webaccess - change expired password (LDAP - AD)

Hi Mark,

Is the changing of LDAP passwords enabled in your GroupWise system?

GW Admin Console | System | LDAP Servers | Click on your AD system | LDAP Authentication tab | tick in "Disable LDAP Password Changing" ??

Also, in the dim recesses of my memory, I seem to recall that unless your LDAP connection to AD is SSL'd password changes will be rejected by AD.

Cheers,

Re: Webaccess - change expired password (LDAP - AD)

Hi Laura,

The tickbox is not enabled but I am not currently using SSL.

The setup for SSL asks for a certificate to be selected. What certificate is it looking for?
Is it a self signed cert for the GW Management server? If so, do I need to import that to my LDAP server?
Is it a cert of the LDAP Server that I have to export and then import to the GW Management server?

Thanks for your help

Hi Mark,

The SSL certificate is from AD.
