Weird Send issue

I have a user that a few times has addressed an email to a small group of people but a much larger group gets the message.
In the sent items folder on the message, The "To:" has 20 recipients with no groups, but the properties tab shows it was Delivered to the whole department of 64 accounts.
I checked the rules on her account and none were active.
What may influence this?

Re: Weird Send issue

Hi David,

I've see this before! The user in question had set a distribution list as the address for a contact in the personal address book. The TO: would show the individuals name, but sending an e-mail to that contact would result in the mail going to a distribution list. So I would suggest that you start by checking the personal address books for such an error. Nightly User upkeep should correct these errors, but in my case, ok it was a while back, it didn't.

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers,

Re: Weird Send issue

Laura
You Are Great! Thank you! That was the issue.
There was a Group with the same name as a person in the recipients list.
I deleted the Group and tested again and all is well. <and the people rejoice with approval>
Thank You ! Thank You!
Very good call on that!
