Weird Version Info in WebAccess after 14.0.2

Hi,
I installed "gw14.0.2-120664_full_linux_multi" and I am seeing weird
Version Information in the Info Dialog of WebAcess:
Build Number: 120499
Program Release: 14.0.2 6/2/2015 (WebAccessServlet.class)

Shouldn't this be 120664?

But a look on the Server sais:
# rpm -qa | grep group
novell-groupwise-webaccess-webapp-14.0.2-120664
supportutils-plugin-groupwise-1.0-3.1
novell-groupwise-gwha-14.0.2-120664
novell-groupwise-server-14.0.2-120664

Also the POA Version is weird:
POA Version: 14.0.1
POA Build: 120664

Shouldn't this be 14.0.2?

Re: Weird Version Info in WebAccess after 14.0.2

Hi SveN

I'm not sure about the WebAccess reporting the wrong version.

As far as your Post Office goes, what you are seeing is that the POA RPM is updated but the actual POA database has not updated to the latest version. If your POA and MTA are on the same server this is common as the MTA needs to start up and update it's own database before it can send the upgrade message to the POA which has probably started already. An easy fix/check is to shut just the POA down and then start it again. That should trigger the database upgrade process.

Please let us know how it goes - thanks 🙂

Cheers,
Laura Buckley

Re: Weird Version Info in WebAccess after 14.0.2

Hi Laura,
restarting the POA did not help. The Logfiles of POA and MTA both Indicate Version 1400 for their DBs.

POA Startup:
16:35:21 1DD2 General Settings:
16:35:21 1DD2 GroupWise Agent Build Version: 14.0.2 -120664
16:35:21 1DD2 GroupWise Agent Build Date: 06-21-15
16:35:21 1DD2 Post Office Directory: /media/nss/grpwise/po
16:35:21 1DD2 Post Office Access Mode: Client/Server Only
16:35:21 1DD2 Post Office Configuration Instance: poa
16:35:21 1DD2 Post Office Language: de
16:35:21 1DD2 Database Version: 1400

MTA Startup:
00:10:14 B4A1 GroupWise Agent Build Version: 14.0.2 -120664
00:10:14 B4A1 GroupWise Agent Build Date: 06-21-15
00:10:14 B4A1 Domain Directory: /media/nss/grpwise/do
00:10:14 B4A1 Work Directory: /media/nss/grpwise/do/mslocal
00:10:14 B4A1 Database Version: 1400

Are these Versions too old?

Re: Weird Version Info in WebAccess after 14.0.2

Hi SveN

The database version will not indicate a support pack level. The RPM versions look good to me. My system is still on SP1 (haven't had downtime yet) and they are reporting build 117118.

Re: Weird Version Info in WebAccess after 14.0.2

I just upgraded to 14.0.2 from sp1 and my webaccess shows the incorrect version as well. When I do Help>about in webaccess It shows
POA Version: 14.0.1
POA Build: 120664
I verified that the correct agents have been installed and they show correctly in the admin console poa agent. Seems to be some sort of cosmetic bug with webaccess.

Hi,

I'm not aware of a TID being created for this cosmetic error, but I can ask.
