Which is the last client to allow direct file access to PO?

What was the last version of the GW client that could work with direct
file access to the PostOffice files?

I recall GroupWise 6 clients still had that ability, but what about the
subsequent versions?

I have an odd issue at one client site that could be explained by such
access (4 years of no GWChecks! Lots of cleanup happening now) and
until I can be sure no client can get at the files, I want to rule out
any old client versions we may or may not discover as part of the
cleanup.

At least per the docs even the GW18 client still obeys (while unsupported) the "ph" switch for direct access, so i'd guess wiping filesystem access for ordinary beings (if any) will be the best bet here.

Thank You, that is what I've been trying to get the client do confirm
is the state. He hasn't reported this bit back as we get that busy
system cleaned up and working better. Amazing how many don't think
computer systems can go years with out any maintenance when it is so
easy, sigh.
