e-mail address as login namne

Is there a way to (also) use the e-mail address as user name in GW 2012?

Best regards

Re: e-mail address as login namne

Hi Lelle,

Just to clarify... instead of logging in [to the client, I presume] with UserName you are wanting to use UserName@idomain.com?

If that is the case, then unfortunately, no it won't work. The User Name field only recognizes the User Name as specified in the GroupWise system, not the e-mail address.

Let me know if I understand your question correctly and whether or not I've answered your question - thanks.

Cheers,

Re: e-mail address as login namne

Hi Lelle,

Just a further note: my system is configured to use LDAP authentication against eDirectory, hence it not recognizing the e-mail address as a valid user ID.

Perhaps if you are just using GroupWise authentication this might work - I suggest just doing some testing.

Cheers,
