Re: monitoring group wise users

This is not a feature of GroupWise Monitor. GW Monitor is meant to monitor the status of the agents in GroupWise, not any message flow, etc.

Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but usually the verbose-mode logging on the POA will show you the logins to GroupWise, but I don't think it records the PC name or the IP address of the PC that is using the GW client. And anything coming from WebAccess has the IP of the WebAccess server, so you'd then have to look at the WebAccess logs to track down the originating IP--which if you're using NAM or some other reverse proxy (or your firewall is doing NAT), makes it a bit difficult to find the actual PC as well.

With verbose logging on the POA, this is about all you're going to get:

09:13:50 AFF2 C/S Login Windows Net Id=jsmith.NYC.NY.CO.ABC ::GW Id=jsmith :: 10.10.1.123

That's only from the GW 32-bit client. And that's only upon login (proxy might also show something). But if say, 5 people are logged in from 5 diff. machines and then send an email, the logs will not show which PC the email got sent from. Only logins (or maybe proxy) will show the netid and IP of workstation.

And any access via GroupWise WebAccess will usually have the IP of the webaccess agent, not necessarily the machine IP.
