new post office

I have a win 2003 server with a domain and post office installed(ver 8.0.1)
I brought up a second 2003 server and installed a second domain. That went ok. I am trying to create a post office on that second server. I am going thru console one, in the GroupWise view and add a new post office. I give it a valid name, and additional info. It brings me to the link configuration page. I configure tcp link using the second servers ip. When I click on finish, it brings me back to create groupwise po page with the cursur blinking in the name field. The name appears valid. 8 alpha characters. I am not sure what is going on.

Any ideas??

Re: new post office

Just a followup. I have changed the name of the post office to test and others and it still does not create the po. It just returns me to the create po page.

Is it possible that the new domain is fouled up? I can add a new po to the other domain.

Re: new post office

is it possible that on the PO creation page you've checked the bottom
box that says Create another post office?

well another idea to look at. make sure that the domain directory has a
wpoffice directory and compare your other domain directories as well.
additionally do you have gwpo.dc and ngwguard.dc files in that domain
directory?

Re: new post office

I know this is an old post, but we are having the same problem. We cannot create a new post office. After entering everything on the dialog, we are returned back to the dialog and no post office is created.

Methinks it must be April Fool's day and someone is trying to wind me
up????!!!!!

Just in case you are genuinely someone looking for help, this sounds very
similar to the issue mentioned a few posts before "Unable To Create A New
Post Office Under An Existing Domain - C1 on Linux".

I read that post, but it didn't apply to our problem as we weren't missing any of the mentioned directories or files. I ended up recopying all of the *.dc files from the installation media and it worked. Must have had a corrupt or outdated file somewhere.
