We got Lumia 920 today, apparently worked out of the box.
Using build 579.

I'm having the same issue with my Lumia 920s on build 966. My Windows 7 phones are working fine. It's just the Windows 8 devices.

Windows 8 is not currently supported with Data Sync. This support is
coming with the next release, 1.2.5. It's interesting that Sami has
had luck using Windows 8 devices using build 579 (Data Sync 1.2.0). I
guess in the interim you could try spinning up a separate Data Sync
instance just for Windows 8 devices using 1.2.0 until 1.2.5 is
released. It wouldn't be a supported configuration but it *may* work.

Good to know that's not only me who's getting this error.

What are other think about these stupid OS? At ervery little function per default MS getting all informations from me if I'm not going disable it!?
At least I disabled function to sent my keyboard input to Microsoft - and I don't want to sent everything (especialy not my accounts with password) to them.
