non GW addresses in system address book

We have many employees (salespeople primarily) in the field that do not have Groupwise email accounts but we'd like to include them in our system address book so people have access to their contact info. What is the best way to do this?

Set up an external domain?
Set up a non-GW domain?
Add them as external users to the primary domain?

Thanks

have a look here:

http://www.novell.com/documentation/gw8/gw8_admin/data/bx6yf2p.html

This allows only administrators to manage it.

You could also create an address book on a user and then share that
out, this can then be managed by user(s) if you want.

have a look here:

Novell Doc: GroupWise 8 Administration Guide - Adding External Users to the GroupWise Address Book

This allows only administrators to manage it.

Thanks for the link Edward. I took a look at it and that method is for people who have email addresses. When it gets to the part about setting up the external user, it asks for the username of the email address. How about people who DONT have email addresses. Specifically, we're wanting to add sales people in the field who don't have internal addresses. We aren't interested in their personal home email addresses. We just want them in the address book so that their phone numbers are available to users.

thanks

Edward,

As a follow up, I went ahead and created an external domain and external post office and then created a test external user and it shows up fine in the system address book. But here's the problem. Users can still send mail to this user.postoffice.domain and it will allow them although there is no email domain set up for that user/po/domain. Now it will probably eventually error out and send back an undeliverable but there is no immediate feedback.

So is there a better way to do this so that our internal people would be able to see phone numbers and physical addresses but wouldn't be able to choose this external user to send an email to?

Create a new address book for a service account that has a groupwise
and share that out ? The email address is not a mandatory field within
the address book so that way you can share details about people like
business mobile etc but not having to put in an email address.
