pending "Deleted" items piling up on each device

We recently upgraded from the GW Mobility Pack (Data Synchronizer)
v1.2.5 (299) to the new GW Mobility Service v2.0.1 (53).

I'm seeing a lot of "pending" items for the "/Deleted" folder for all of
our devices listed GW Mobility Service admin console, in the "Device /
Folder Items" list for an individual user's mobile device. I'm seeing
3000-5000 listed for most of my user's devices. Is this just a display
issue, or is there something else going on that I should be concerned about?

Anyone else seeing this kind of behavior?

Thanks,
Greg

I hadn't noticed until I dug into this after Andreas' "me too"

Different numbers, but certainly some pending where they don't make sense.
On two different GMS 2.01 / GW 2012.2 systems that I can check both ends, I
see zero in the delete folders on both the device as well as in the GroupWise
mailbox trash, despite there being natural numbers (i.e. Greater than zero)
showing as pending. Deleting a few messages on the either side increases the
pending count fairly fast and by the expected #, shows in the GroupWise trash
bin, but doesn't show in the device under either Deleted or Deleted Messages.
Trash, Deleted, nor Deleted Messages are available options for folders to
sync.

Users with multiple devices are showing different numbers per device.

Hmm, this is a curious one, I'll have to ask around.

Re: pending "Deleted" items piling up on each device

Isn't this just showing as pending because the user hasn't opened the deleted items folder on the device? Folders other than inbox (unless manually selected to sync automatically by the user) will just have pending items until opened?
As users delete emails (adding to trash) and empty their trash on the full client those changes, up and down, are replicated to GMS and are then just sat there waiting to be downloaded, or cleared out after the activesync time window has elapsed for keeping items?
If a user never opned the trash folder on their mobile then there will just be the last x days trash sat their pending, always. Same with any other folder.

You would think so, but that isn't happening for the
Trash/Deleted/Deleted Messages folders, at least to my Blackberry Q10
that I've been testing two accounts on. Nice having a couple accounts on
clients' systems with low mail volumes to test.

What is the point of caching them if they aren't being downloaded?
Does anyone know what that ActiveSync timeout is for such things? Or is
it the retention time of all messages where the defaults are either 14
days for 'Alert Retention' or 30 days for 'Statistic History Retention'
I shall test this by not deleting mail for a few weeks on one of the
accounts, or just keeping track of when I delete what number of
messages. Gut feeling from knowing approximate mail volumes per user is
that this is what we are seeing.

Nope, not from my testing.
