"Reply all" includes me

Whenever I use "reply all" to reply to a message, it includes me as bc. I don't want that - how do I turn it off?

Re: "Reply all" includes me

Hi,

Welcome to the forums and thank you for your question.

As far as I am aware this is working as designed. I am unable to find a place to turn this off.

Cheers,

So my response to colleennicholls's comment is...

What version of GW you running? I'm running 14.0.2 (build 121595) and
IIRC I do not get an email if I do a reply all.

Re: "Reply all" includes me

Hi Stevo,

You are running a rather out dated version of the client!

I'm asking around in the backrooms if this is Working As Designed or a bug. I'll post back what information I get.

Re: "Reply all" includes me

Hi,

Ok, this is how it works......if the mail is addressed to a distribution group and you are a member of the group you will receive an email when replying to all as it is addressing the distribution group.

Am I explaining this in an understandable manner?

So my response to laurabuckley's comment is...

Ok so yeah that makes sense. I'm wondering if OP was in that situation
or not, because if the email is *not* to a group and I do a reply all,
I do not get a copy of my reply, which (to me) is how it should work.

Re: "Reply all" includes me

Hi Stevo

The caveat here is mobile devices. My iPad, for example, has a setting "Always BCC myself".

So my response to laurabuckley's comment is...

Just like most mobiles & texting goes, default is to send everything as
a mass group message if more than one recipient.........ugh. Because
you know, everyone needs to know what everyone says or does.

I'm becoming less enamored with technology.
