sync settings in caching mode

Hi,

I use GroupWise 14.2.2-128215 with clients in caching mode. If someone was on vacation for three weeks and returns the caching box shows only some of the unread mails the last three week. To see all the user have to click manually on "receive entire mailbox". It seems that there is a limit how old a mail can be at most to be synced. If so: Is this a user defined setting? Could I change that anywhere?

Thanks,
Steffen

I've not seen any GW limit on that message flow of messages, other than
how big is the pipe which can make the process a bit slower such that
they take long enough to come down for you to have played with the
options to try to force it.
Are these messages the older ones or the most recently arrived ones? Or
scattered throughout?
What quantity of messages are we talking about? Over or under 1000?

Are the users using a home view that is search index based? If so, you
might be hitting the fact that the client indexer only processes
messages 1000 at a time, triggered by each time a Send/Retrieve
operation has been completed.
How often are they set to get their messages? Under Accounts, Account
Options, General Options, Send/Retrieve every X minutes

When pulling a fresh instance of a cached client on an mailbox with lots
(100000+) I find we need to let that sit for a few hours or overnight to
finish the indexing of the fresh cache.
